Notifications (SwayNC)

SwayNC is a Wayland-native notification daemon with a control center. Nitrux uses it to display notifications and provide quick access to media controls and Do Not Disturb mode.

Usage

• Toggle notification panel → Click the notification icon in Waybar, or Super + Shift + N
• Clear all notifications → Middle-click the notification icon in Waybar.

Control Center

• Position → Top right.
• Width → 480px.
• Height → 680px.

Widgets

• Title → Header with “Clear” button.
• Do Not Disturb → Toggle to silence notifications.
• Media player → Album art, playback controls, and progress bar.
• Notifications → Grouped by application.

Notification Defaults

• Position → Top right.
• Width → 400px.
• Inline replies → Enabled.
• Images → Shown when available.
• Hide on clear → Enabled.

Urgency Colors

• Low → Surface gray.
• Normal → Surface gray.
• Critical → Red.

Configuration

• ~/.config/swaync/config.json → Layout and behavior.
• ~/.config/swaync/style.css → Appearance (Catppuccin Mocha).
