Below is a list of post-release service announcements.
📌 PSA 09/10/26
PSA: We’ve released the OTA update archive for Nitrux 6.1.0 → 7.0.0.
7.0.0 OTA Post-Update Information
As our tutorial “How to upgrade Nitrux” explains, NUTS does not modify files in user home directories (including the greetd user). That said, due to the transition to using the Workspace Environment in Nitrux 7.0.0, users are required to follow the next steps to finalize the migration.
- Copy the new seeded config and overwrite the existing files:
- This should add the default configuration for Valenz, Marina, NudgeOSD, Desklock, and QMLogout. It should also update the configuration for Hyprland, Hyprpaper, Hypridle, the Maui apps, MauiManager, Vicinae, and GTK.
- ⚠️ Important: This will override any personalized configuration for existing software, i.e., Hyprland, Hyprpaper, Hypridle, the Maui apps, Vicinae. Back up the files you wish to keep.

mkdir -p "$HOME/.config" cp -a /etc/skel/.config/. "$HOME/.config/"
- Copy the seeded configuration for QMLGreet:
sudo cp -f /etc/greetd/hyprland.lua \ /var/lib/greetd/.config/hypr/hyprland.lua sudo cp -f /etc/skel/.config/Maui/MauiMan.conf \ /var/lib/greetd/.config/Maui/MauiMan.conf sudo cp -f /etc/skel/.config/kdeglobals \ /var/lib/greetd/.config/kdeglobals
- Set the correct ownership for the QMLGreet files:
sudo chown _greetd:_greetd \ /var/lib/greetd/.config/hypr/hyprland.lua \ /var/lib/greetd/.config/Maui/MauiMan.conf \ /var/lib/greetd/.config/kdeglobals
