We recently learned about nitrux.org, an independent website operating under our project’s name. We want to clarify our relationship with nitrux.org, which has recently appeared online featuring Nitrux branding, hardware guides, and external download links.
What We Know
During a routine reverse web search on 28 October 2026, we first discovered that an unknown party had hijacked Google search results. Upon discovery, we determined the site appears to be an exact-match domain (EMD) algorithmic hijack.
- An Exact Match Domain (EMD) is a website domain that precisely matches a search query likely to drive traffic to the website.
The site is entirely AI-generated, prominently features unauthorized use of our logo, impersonates our distribution, and primarily acts as an AI-generated guide, which is affecting traffic to our site and confusing potential users.
After a surface scan of the site’s available data, we found the following information:
- Web Host (datacenter/network owner): Hetzner Online GmbH (Germany)
- Hosting service/reseller: Middlehost (using a LiteSpeed web server on Hetzner infrastructure)
- Domain registrar: Dynadot Inc (USA)
- Registered On: 2026-04-12
- Expires On: 2028-04-12
- Updated On: 2026-10-24
