📌 PSA 02/12/23
PSA: We have detected a problem when booting the ISO in VirtualBox and enabling EFI, seemingly caused by a problem in the EFI firmware or processing of bootloader files in VirtualBox, resulting in a boot loop. Our bug tracker details our findings on the following issue: VirtualBox fails to boot ISO when using EFI if fbx64.efi is present in /EFI/BOOT #153. We will remove this file for the next release. In the meantime, we recommend that users disable EFI when using VirtualBox. Alternatively, use a different hypervisor, like GNOME Boxes or vanilla QEMU, which aren’t affected by this.
Disclaimer: We do not develop VirtualBox. Please inform their developers at their respective bug trackers if you have issues with these hypervisors, such as graphical problems.
